Beauty is evolution. The spectacular magnificence of the rooms of ancient Venetian nobility complemented by advanced, futuristic technology. Precious classical style maintains its original, iconic look but adopts a new personality thanks to the fascinating creativity of colour and a varied range of lighting effects achieved by the latest control systems. The beauty of innovation, yesterday and today.

Tiny coloured pins pierce the wall map to identify locations of subsidiaries and agencies in MASIERO’s worldwide sales network. The last pin added marks the Middle Eastern hub of Abu Dhabi. Others are dotted here and there in Italy, Russia, the United States, South America, North and South Africa. In fact MASIERO lighting collections and installations are in demand in 72 different countries. MASIERO, specialists in top-end decorative lighting, are based in Casale sul Sile near Treviso in northern Italy.

Everything starts here. As is often the case in Italian manufacturing, MASIERO is a family business. The company was formed back in 1981 as Emme Pi Light, and assumed the name of MASIERO in 2005, when Enrico Maria Masiero, the son of the company’s founders Paolo Masiero and Marilena Pellizzato joined the firm. The official debut was in 2009.

Rather than a collection of individual objects, this is a collection of collections. Variants are qualified and well thought out, and form families of lights and glares. We like to think that, rather than lamps, we produce objects of affection that are suitable both for domestic and home environments, and for more formal and elegant spaces.

The company’s product range revolves around the “Maria Teresa” chandeliers typical of Venetian tradition. But the glass arms in all their shapes and colours, and especially those of the outdoor DRYLIGHT collection, and of Marc Sadler’s new, modular RAQAM project, are constantly evolving in terms of technology and engineering. MASIERO’s innovative technology is protected by international patents covering the latest developments in home automation and light sources and their exploitation in innovative new lighting products. MASIERO innovations combine decorative and technical characteristics just like architectural lighting. And they serve the indoor and outdoor markets. In 2014, Enrico Maria Masiero dedicated a specific division of the company to outdoor lighting projects based on the latest developments.

DIMORE and ATELIER are the two catalogues that illustrate MASIERO’s latest, contemporary products for the residential and contract markets respectively. Each product takes shape in MASIERO’s own factories where specialist production lines complete the entire cycle, with the technical and prototyping departments playing key roles. Production begins with the machining of components and moves on through assembly to painting, finishing and decoration. The electrical system is then added and the product tested before being packed and despatched. The whole process is subject to the strictest quality control and designed to accommodate special requests.
